When you create an account, ProtoHQ collects your name, email address, and a hashed password. When you use the platform, we collect workspace activity including projects you create or join, contract addresses you register, and actions performed within the application.

We also collect standard server-side logs (IP address, browser user-agent, timestamps) for security and reliability purposes. We do not collect wallet private keys or on-chain transaction signatures.

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the ProtoHQ platform.
• Authenticate you and manage your session securely.
• Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets).
• Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
• Generate anonymized product analytics to guide development.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We share your data only with the service providers necessary to run the platform (for example, hosting infrastructure and transactional email providers). These providers process data under confidentiality agreements and only as instructed by us.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ProtoHQ, our users, or the public.

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed from production systems within 30 days, subject to backups being purged on their natural rotation schedule.

Audit logs and compliance records may be retained for a longer period as required by applicable law or business necessity.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: HTTPS for all traffic, bcrypt-hashed passwords, HttpOnly session cookies, and role-based access controls. Despite these measures, no system is perfectly secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

We will post any material changes to this page with an updated date. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
